In this article we'll show you how to unlock your HP Elitebook laptop by clearing BIOS password, resetting Windows admin password or restore HP Elitebook to factory settings.

If you've forgotten your HP Elitebook administrator password, there's no need to panic. There are a few different ways that you can reset the password and regain access to your account. In this article, we'll show you how to reset your HP Elitebook administrator password using Kon-Boot.

Kon-Boot is one of the most popular tools for resetting passwords on HP Elitebooks. It's a piece of software that you can download and install on a USB drive. Once you've done that, you can boot from the USB drive and Kon-Boot will bypass the password prompt, allowing you to log in without knowing the password.

The first thing you need to do is download the Kon-Boot software from the link below.

Once you've downloaded the software, unzip the file and extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your computer.

Next, insert a blank USB drive into your computer and open the Kon-Boot folder. Inside the folder, you'll see two files: konboot.exe and konboot-x64.exe.

If you're using a 64-bit version of Windows, double-click on konboot-x64.exe to launch the Kon-Boot installer. If you're using a 32-bit version of Windows, double-click on konboot.exe to launch the Kon-Boot installer.

Click "Yes" when prompted by the User Account Control dialog.

Click "I Agree" to accept the terms of the license agreement.

On the next screen, select the USB drive that you inserted earlier and click "Next".

Kon-Boot will now start copying the necessary files to the USB drive. Once the process is complete, click "Finish".

You can now close the Kon-Boot installer and eject the USB drive.

Insert the USB drive into the HP Elitebook that you want to reset the password for and turn on the computer.

When the HP logo appears on the screen, press F9 to enter the Boot Device Options menu.

Use the arrow keys to select the USB drive and press Enter.

Kon-Boot will now start loading and you'll see the Kon-Boot logo on the screen.

Once Kon-Boot has loaded, you'll be presented with the login screen. At the login screen, simply press Enter without typing anything in the Username and Password fields.

Kon-Boot will bypass the password prompt and you'll be logged in to Windows.

Once you're logged in, you can change the password for the administrator account by going to the Control Panel and clicking on "User Accounts".

Click on the administrator account and then click "Change the password".

Enter the new password and click "Change password".

You've successfully reset the password for the administrator account on your HP Elitebook.
