Forgot Login Password on Windows Vista Home Premium

Forgot the administrator password on an old laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium? There is a simple way to remove lost Windows Vista Home Premium password easily.

If you have forgotten your login password on Windows Vista Home Premium, there are a few options available to you for resetting it. One option is to use a password reset disk. If you created a password reset disk before you forgot your password, you can use that disk to reset your password.

If you don't have a password reset disk, you can try using the Sticky Keys feature to reset your password. To do this, turn on your computer and press the Shift key five times. This will bring up a dialog box asking if you want to enable Sticky Keys. Press Yes and then press the Shift key again. This will bring up a command prompt. At the command prompt, type "net user" followed by your username and the new password you want to use. Press Enter and then reboot your computer.

If neither of those options work, you can use a third-party tool like Kon-Boot to reset your password. Kon-Boot is a bootable CD that allows you to bypass the login password prompt entirely. Once you boot from the Kon-Boot CD, you'll be able to log in to Windows without entering a password.

If you're not comfortable using a third-party tool, you can always reinstall Windows. This will erase all of your personal data, so be sure to back up anything important before proceeding. To reinstall Windows, insert your Windows installation disc and boot from it. Choose the option to Repair your computer and then select the option to Reinstall Windows. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
